 バイラス星雲

 バイラス星雲は、恒星が超新星爆発した後の残骸によって構成されている。 

 地球からの距離は比較的近く、8,300光年。 

 星雲の中心にはパルサー（中性子星）が確認でき、1秒間に約36回転している。 

この周期で電波やX線を放出しており、可視光線で星雲を明るく照らしている。

 パルサーから発せられる電波が規則的なため、発見当初は地球外生命体による通信信号ではないかと考えられており、「バイラス星人」という地球外生命体の存在がアニメや映画で多く描かれている。

 The Vyrus Nebula The Vyrus Nebula is composed of the remnants of a supernova explosion of a star. It is relatively close to Earth, at a distance of 8,300 light years. A pulsar (neutron star) can be seen in the center of the nebula, rotating at a rate of about 36 revolutions per second. It emits radio waves and X-rays in this cycle, and the visible light illuminates the nebula. Because of the regularity of the radio waves emitted by the pulsar, it was first thought to be a communication signal from extraterrestrial life, and the existence of extraterrestrial life called "Vyrus aliens" has been portrayed in many anime and movies.
